Job Description & Qualification

The Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies at The University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of instructor beginning August 16, 2021. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate lecture sections of finance courses, such as money and capital markets, corporate finance and investments, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.

This is a three-year renewable position that is renewable at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period. Salary is competitive.

Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in finance, economics, or a closely related field.

About the Organization

The Finance program offers degrees at the undergraduate, Master and Ph.D. levels. The Master programs include a full-time, a part-time and a STEM MBA, and a one-year MS in Finance. The Department offers excellent research environment including generous travel support, an active seminar series and Ph. D. graduate research assistants. The Finance group is part of the Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies.
